2023年從功能翻譯理論看電視軟新聞的英譯In2023,thetranslationoftelevisionsoftnewsfromtheperspectiveoffunctionaltranslationtheoryWiththerapiddevelopmentofglobalization,cross-culturalcommunicationhasbecomeincreasinglyfrequent.Asanimportantmeansofcommunication,translationplaysanincreasinglyimportantroleinpromotingculturalexchanges.Softnews,asapartofnewsmedia,referstonewsthatismainlyrelatedtosociallife,entertainment,sports,andotherissuesthatarenotrelatedtointernationalpoliticsandmajorevents.Softnews,withitseasyaccess,colorfulpresentation,andhighinformativevalue,hasbecomeanimportantwayforpeopletounderstandtheworldandperceivethesocialreality.Inthecontextofglobalization,thetranslationofsoftnewsisofgreatsignificance.Fromtheperspectiveoffunctionaltranslationtheory,thisarticlediscussesthetranslationoftelevisionsoftnews.Functionalisttranslationtheoryholdsthattranslationisaprocessofcommunication,andthepurposeoftranslationisnotonlytoconveyinformationbutalsotoachievespecificcommunicationpurposes.Therefore,translationshouldbebasedontheprincipleoffunctionalequivalence,thatis,totranslatethefunctionofthesourcetextintothetargettext,andtoachievethecommunicativefunctionofthetargettext.Inthetranslationoftelevisionsoftnews,functionalequivalenceshouldbefullyconsidered.Firstly,thetranslatorshouldconsiderthecommunicativefunctionofthesourcetextandthetargettext.Duetothedifferencesinculture,language,andsocialbackground,thetargetreadersmayhavedifferentexpectationsandreactionstothetextfromthesourcereaders.Therefore,thetranslatorshouldpayattentiontothecommunicativefunctionofthetargettext,andadjusttheculturalbackground,languagestyle,expressionmode,andtoneofthetextaccordingtotheneedsofthetargetreaders.Forexample,inthetranslationofentertainmentnews,thetranslatorshouldconsiderthetargetreaderswhoareinterestedinentertainment,andpayattentiontotheculturaldifferencesandlanguagecharacteristicsofthesourceandtargetlanguages,anduseappropriateexpressionsandtonestocreateagoodreadingatmosphere.Secondly,thetranslatorshouldconsidertheinformativefunctionofthesourceandtargettexts.Softnewshashighinformativevalue,andthepurposeofitsdisseminationistoprovidereaderswiththelatestnewsandinformationaboutsociallife,sports,entertainment,andotheraspects.Therefore,thetranslatorshouldgraspthemainpointsandkeyinformationofthesourcetext,andaccuratelyconveythemtothetargetreaders,soastoensuretheinformativefunctionofthetargettext.Thetranslatorshouldalsopayattentiontotheaccuracyandcredibilityoftheinformation,andavoiderrors,misunderstandings,ordistortionsinthetranslationprocess.Forexample,whentranslatingsportsnews,thetranslatorshouldpayattentiontotheaccuracyofthescore,thenameoftheathletes,andotherdetails,andensuretheobjectivityandauthenticityofthetext.Finally,thetranslatorshouldconsidertheaestheticfunctionofthesourceandtargettexts.Softnewsisknownforitscolorfulpresentationandrichvisualelements,suchaspictures,videos,andgraphics.Therefore,thetranslatorshouldconsidertheaestheticfeaturesofthenaturallanguageandtheartoftranslation,andstrivetopresentthebeautyofthetexttothetargetreaders.Thetranslatorshouldpayattentiontotheproperuseofwords,thecoherenceofthetext,therhythmofthesentences,andotheraspects,soastocreateanaestheticallypleasingandreadworthytext.Forexample,whentranslatingfashionnews,thetranslatorshoulduseappropriateadjectivesandphrasestodescribethestyleanddesignoftheclothes,andcreateanartisticatmospherethroughlanguage.Inconclusion,thetranslationoftelevisionsoftnewsshouldadheretotheprincipleoffunctionalequivalence,andconsiderthecommunicative,informative,andaestheticfunctionsofthesourceandtargettexts.Thetranslatorshouldpayattentiontotheneedsofthetargetreaders,accuratelyconveytheinformationofthesourcetext,andcreateanaestheticallypleasingrea
