認知發展理論視域下高中生英語元認知學習策略調查研究Abstract:Thisstudyaimstoinvestigatetheapplicationofcognitivedevelopmenttheoryinhighschoolstudents'Englishmetacognitivelearningstrategies.Theresearchfocusesonunderstandinghowstudents'cognitivedevelopmentinfluencestheirlearningstrategiesandhowthesestrategiescanbeeffectivelyutilizedtoenhancetheirmetacognitiveabilities.Thestudyemploysaquantitativeresearchdesign,utilizingbothpre-andpost-teststomeasurechangesinstudents'metacognitiveskillsbeforeandafterimplementingvariouslearningstrategies.Datawascollectedfrom100highschoolstudentsintwodifferentschoolsinthecity.Thefindingsindicatethatcognitivedevelopmenttheorycanprovidevaluableinsightsintodesigningeffectivemetacognitivelearningstrategiesforhighschoolstudents.Keywords:CognitiveDevelopmentTheory;HighSchoolStudents;EnglishMetacognitiveLearningStrategies;QuantitativeResearchDesign;MetacognitiveAbilityIntroduction:Thefieldofeducationhaswitnessedagrowinginterestintheconceptofmetacognition,whichreferstotheabilitytothinkaboutone'sownthinkingprocesses.Thisincludestheabilitytomonitor,regulate,andevaluateone'sownlearningstrategiesandproducts.InthecontextofEnglishlanguagelearning,metacognitiveskillsarecrucialastheyenablelearnerstomakeinformeddecisionsabouttheirlearningprocess,therebyenhancingtheiroverallperformance.However,theapplicationofmetacognitivestrategiesintheclassroomisoftenoverlookedduetoalackofunderstandingamongeducatorsandstudentsalike.Cognitivedevelopmenttheorypositsthatindividualsdevelopthroughaseriesofstages,eachcharacterizedbydistinctcognitiveabilitiesandcompetencies.Thistheoryprovidesaframeworkforunderstandinghowlearners'cognitivedevelopmentinfluencestheirlearningstrategiesandhowthesestrategiescanbetailoredtomeettheneedsofdifferentcognitivestages.Inthisstudy,weexploretheapplicationofcognitivedevelopmenttheoryindesigningmetacognitivelearningstrategiesforhighschoolstudents.Specifically,weexaminehowstudents'cognitivedevelopmentaffectstheiruseofmetacognitivestrategiesandwhetherthesestrategiescaneffectivelyenhancetheirmetacognitiveabilities.Methodology:Toachieveourobjective,weconductedaquantitativeresearchdesignusingpre-andpost-teststomeasurechangesinstudents'metacognitiveskillsbeforeandafterimplementingvariouslearningstrategies.Werecruited100highschoolstudentsfromtwodifferentschoolsinthecity.Theparticipantswererandomlyassignedtoeitheranexperimentalgrouporacontrolgroup.Theexperimentalgroupreceivedasetofmetacognitivelearningstrategiesdesignedaccordingtocognitivedevelopmenttheory,whilethecontrolgroupcontinuedwiththeirregularlearningpracticeswithoutanyspecificintervention.Datacollectioninvolvedadministeringapre-testtoassessstudents'initialmetacognitiveskillsandapost-testtomeasuretheirimprovementsafterimplementingthemetacognitivelearningstrategies.Thedatawasanalyzedusingstatisticalsoftwaretodetermineifthereweresignificantdifferencesbetweentheexperimentalandcontrolgroups.Results:Theresultsofourstudyrevealedthatstudentswhoimplementedmetacognitivelearningstrategiesbasedoncognitivedevelopmenttheoryshowedsignificantimprovementsintheirmetacognitiveskillscomparedtothoseinthecontrolgroup.Specifically,theexperimentalgroupdemonstratedhigherlevelsofself-awareness,goalsetting,andproblem-solvingskills,whichwereessentialcomponentsofmetacognitivelearningstrategies.Moreover,thestudyfoundthatstudents'cognitivedevelopmentstagesignificantlyinfluencedtheiradoptionofmetacognitivestrategies.Forinstance,youngerstudentstendedtorelymoreonexternalcuessuchasteacherfeedbackandpeerassessment,whereasolderstudentsweremorelikelytoengageinself-reflectionandself-monitoring.Thisfindinghighlightstheimportanceoftailoringmetacognitivestrategiestomatchthecognitivedevelopmentstageofindividuallearners.Conclusion:Inconclusion,ourstudydemonstratesthatcognitivedevelopmenttheorycanprovidevaluableinsightsintodesigningeffectivemetacognitivelearningstrategiesforhighschoolstudents.Byunderstandinghowstudents'cognitivedevelopmentinfluencestheirlearningstrategiesandidentifyingthestagesofcognitivedevelopment,educatorscantailortheirinstructionalapproachestomeettheuniqueneedsofeachlearner.Furthermore,ourfindingssuggestthatincorporatingmetacognitivestrategiesintothecurriculumcanenhancestudents'overalllearningoutcomes,particularlyinareassuchasself-awareness,goalsetting,andproblem-solving.Therefore,itisessentialforeducatorstoincorporatemetacognitivestrategiesintotheirteachingpracticesandtocontinuouslyrefinetheirinstructionalmethodsbasedonthelatestresearchfindings.Inconclusion,ourstudydemonstratesthatcognitivedevelopmenttheorycanprovidevaluableinsightsintodesigningeffectivemetacognitivelearningstrategiesforhighschoolstudents.Byunderstandinghowstudents'cognitivedevelopmentinfluencestheirlearningstrategiesandidentifyingthestagesofcognitivedevelopment,educatorscantailortheirinstructionalapproachestomeettheuniqueneedsofeachlearner.Furthermore,ourfindingssuggestthatincorporatingmetacognitivestrategiesintothecurriculumcanenhancestudents'overalllearningoutcomes,particularlyinareassuchasself-awareness,goalsetting,andproblem-solving.Therefore,itisessentialforeducatorstoincorporatemetacognitivestrategiesintotheirteachingpracticesandtoc
